Creativity is the door that opens my heart and listens to the whispers of my soul”.-Suzie Cheel
There Was Something Missing In My Life…..
I had let my creativity have a holiday that was too long. I realised that I had only painted twice since before we moved, so that was from back in November. That was so there were new hearts for the HeART Whisper weekly inspiration.
I had stopped feeding my creative self!
When I do this I know I am not being honest with myself, I become disorientated, overwhelm floods in, as does self doubt. I start questioning what I am doing.
The exercise of creating is crucial to my self love and to creating the life I truly love.
I discovered that what I love about me is my creativity ~ my art and my cooking and that truly does fulfil me.
So What Stops ME?
The FUD factor! Fear, uncertainty and doubt seemed to have come to visit again. I was allowing myself to doubt my ability.
Then I created a releasing meditation for myself and immediately felt the fog lift.
Out of the blue I was given the gift of a scholarship to Melissa Dunwiddies Your Big Bold Creative Life Academy. The planets were aligning. I am excited and will be immersed for the next 12 weeks in really bring my creativity boldly to the fore.
I now have the joy of immersing myself in my creativity and have started a 1010 day morning painting practice, that has me jumping out of bed and heading to my studio to paint.
I am going to share my first four days of painting here today and then for the next 6 days I will post here on the blog, on Instagram and Facebook . I will share some of my processes and how things are changing.
I have already noticed that my morning addiction to opening my email and facebook has faded and I love that. 🙂
Getting ready:
Day 1- This week’s HeARt Whisper
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4; This morning I did bound out of bed and head to the studio after I did my meditation and read my pages from A Course in Miracles. It was still dark. This morning I have captured 3 stages of this painting which I have called Love Your Life
“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.” – Osho
Does your creative spirit ever take a holiday?

I LOVE that you are jumping out of bed and painting every morning!! YAHOOOOOOO! I’m jumping out of bed every morning to practice yoga and write. Even right now, I have a time set on my phone – 30 minutes to read and comment and share blogs from VFA. I can no longer bear the beeps and tweets and chirps or fly-in’s on my computer distracting me from that which is truly important!
I love Day #2 – it reminds me of the ocean. Love the colors!!
Yes Peggy I love that I am jumping out of bed and painting- some morning I do meditate and read first, that sometimes inspires and guides the painting. The main thing is I have a routine that brings me joy. I was just thinking this morning that I am going to map out times for VFA and others as to move forward on my path I need to FOCUS. I will keep it going now after the 10 days and journal maybe on the painting and my emotions. xx
Suzie,
It’s amazing that you are putting your creativity first! Keep it up and keep sharing with us! We love it! It’s inspiring.
Jess
Thanks Jess,
Yes I was slow in getting the message about my creativity, it feels great
It’s as you write about- belief

The FUD factor, oh I know it all too well!
Thanks, Suzie, for sharing the photo of your painting table. Looks like mine, and I’m so exhilarated now that my paints are at hand instead of shut up in the cupboard. Although, I must confess, I am not as careful to keep my table surface covered. Oh well…
I appreciate you!
Sue
Thanks Sue,
Only reason I keep it covered is makes cleaning up easier. Oh for the day when I have a huge table again with a super surface

I see many – MANY – beautiful paintings coming your way. Hope these next 12 weeks are as amazing, productive, and beautiful as you.
Hi Kim,
Yes I do too and if the first few days are anything to go by it will be a great 12 weeks. Yes Many, many paintings and finally an online gallery shop ♡
Suzie, I just love hearing this, “I have already noticed that my morning addiction to opening my email and facebook has faded and I love that.” That’s one of the main barriers to my diving into my writing or creating right away. Because I’m in the middle of the ocean in my very own timezone (well, I do share it with many), I feel I’m already way behind on social media when I wake up. But you’re inspiring to keep with my new habit that says creativity first!
Hi Sandra, I love reading what you have written, yes timezones are a challenge and I am going to master social media on my mobile so I can do it away from the computer. I am determined to maintain creativity first. I am learning that creativity can increase the will power gene. ♡
Absolutely stunning Suzie! I love the colors you use and the images reflect your focus on being heart centered. Look forward to seeing more of your beautiful art as you continue your journey.
Your comment and seeing you smiling face makes my heart sing. Thank you for sharing this journey with me♡♡
Suzie,
Wish we were neighbors. I’d be right over! FUD hahaha! Love that acronym.
Me too Tess, we would have so much fun. I am putting meet Tess in real life on my 100 things for 2015. We haven’t been to USA since 2008, think it is time- now Aussie $ rise! 🙂
