“Keep your unwavering thoughts, feelings and
actions focused on your target, and you will make your mark
When I drew this card this morning fromB001T6ZBCQI decided to use this for my weekly inspiration. Staying focused and on target is something that I struggle with. I am listening more to my intuition, my spirit and that small voice inside has been giving me a nudge along in this direction of following one path. Then, to my joy I discovered that the universe was in sync. I was reading Jenny Mannion’s post on her wonderful blog Heal Pain, where she interviews intuitive Andrea Hess . I was inspired by what Andrea had to say, especially on setting intentions:
The first step is to set a clear intention for a foreseeable timeframe. I recommend a month – that’s long enough to receive and act on guidance, but short enough to be actionable! When people set long-term intentions, those intentions end up becoming wishes more than anything else.
Intention-setting is an art unto itself, in my book. We have to be very, very honest with ourselves on what we truly want. I equate it to punching in an address into our GPS system in our car. We can only receive guidance when we first decide where it is that we’re going!
Jenny responded with I love intention setting and I’m with you – the short time frames allow us to see JUST how powerful we really are. What both Jenny and Andrea are saying goes against the normal business planning mode 🙂
What a wonderful way to start the week with being focused on the things that will bring you joy, happiness, abundance and freedom. So now I am off to complete the intention I set for myself for today that is part of my next adventure in change.
Do you have focused intentions?
Namaste
Suzie,
First I want to thank you for contacting me. What a lovely surprise. Can we set up a time to Sype mid November? I’m busy with our move and work.
I love the GPS example. That’s real clear about needing to know the direction if I want to get there. I make it more difficult than it is.
Hi Tess,
was just a intuitive thing and thought you may have been there
I will email you- have a couple of things I want to ask and run by you
I love it- I make it more difficult than it really is….. oh yes do I know that one and I have been doing it with the relaunch of my book- been round and round the Mulberry bush cycle…….I do often decide to think I know where I am going and forget to put in the directions that will take me there. lol
I was working online today and my mind drifted I saw you picture on skype and though I would pop over to your site.
Imagine my surprise when the card for the day was “Focused Intention”. The universe does work in mysterious ways.
Take care
Donna
Hi Donna,
Thanks for dropping by and I will get to chat on skype soon
Yes the universe is in sync more often than we trust it to be
Hugs
Suzie
Hi Suzie,
Thanks so much for the mention! 🙂 Yes focused intention is SOOO very powerful. I also think it’s important how you set those intentions. Are they set in love with a powerful vision of how they benefit you and others? Are they set in fear or with a tight grasp on the “way things HAVE to be”? I have found the best way for me to manifest is to set it with all my senses vibrating love and gratitude and a picture of how it will help MANY… then the tricky part “letting go” and KNOWING and TRUSTING it will manifest HOW it is supposed to. We just ask for the What and let the Universe supply the How…. Thanks so much and I hope you have MANY powerful manifestations and watch all your intentions come true!!!
Lots of love and hugs,
Jenny
Hi Jenny,
I like how you have asked are they set in love and the benefit they will give. Interesting how you mention the knowing and the trusting and yes it does come down to that allowing that the belief that I can is so important I still have to get to more trusting and allowing manifesting to flow
Have a blast this weekend, we will meet in 2011- planning a trip and have family moving to Washington
love and hugs
Suzie
