ggThe Grace Of Gratitude Journal by Deborah Perdue

Grace of Gratitude JournalToday I spoke with Deborah Purdue the author of The Grace of Gratitude Journal.  Deborah sent me a copy to review and when I opened the envelope I knew this was something I would use and my current gratitude journal was almost full. Wonderful timing.

This is one book that initially, I thought it is to special to write in! It feels wonderful and what a wonderful way to bring in more magic to one’s life?

I thought  it would be good to find out what has inspired Deborah to bring this journal to life.  We spoke this morning on skype and you can hear how 15 years ago Deborah was given a journal to record just 5 things a day that she was grateful for and this became a daily practice that has changed her life.

The illustrations by Tara Thelen  are beautiful and provide moments for reflection.

The book is available spiral bound and now in kindle too. A hardback version is planned too.

Do you keep a gratitude journal?

Does it make a positive impact on your life?

Even create change?

abundance flows

  1. Hi Suzie

I had never heard of a Gratitude Journal before now.

    But what a splendid idea.

It does seem a really good thing to do and remind you of all the good things that happen to you every day.

It is so easy to become bogged down and loose sight of the good things.

    Thanks!

  2. I have long believed that a grateful heart is the key to a happy life. I do have to admit that my gratitude journal has resided in my night stand drawer much too long. You’ve inspired me to pull it out. 🙂

    1. Hi Suzanne,
I know the feeling I had one that was finished and I didn’t start a new one, so receiving the journal was a blessing. Great you are inspired to pull it out 🙂

  3. This is such a simple process — which is extremely power-filled! I call mine an Appreciation & Happy Happenings Journal … Same idea as the Gratitude – Every morning I get up and write down what I appreciate in my life… and every evening I end my day with appreciation.

When I started this, years ago, I had no idea how life-changing it would be! What I have found, like you and Deborah … the more I appreciate – the more the Universe gives me to appreciate.

I start my day off in that appreciation vibration … and the Universe follows through and gives me more!

    I appreciate You! 😀

    1. I appreciate you to Ellie and miss you too 🙂 I still usually do it at night and you have inspired me to start my day with written gratitude to give the vibes a boost 🙂

  4. Suzie, I am intimately familiar with the change daily gratitude practice can bring. When I started, the suggestion was to write a list of 15 things for which I was grateful every single day.

Very very hard, but so worth it!

    Changed my life 100%.

Thanks for sharing this important message.

    Blessings,
    Sue

    1. Hi Sue,
wow 15 things a day- I too would have found that a challenge when I started , 5 used to be a challenge for me Love reading that it did make that 100% shift in you life
      Love
      Suzie xx

  5. As always, inspiring thoughts and images! I am a huge fan of journals for all types of personal growth. In fact when I was coaching full time I used to give a special journal to my new clients – many of whom were first time entrepreneurs and more than a few single moms.

The one thing many of them had in common was lack of self confidence, so the journal was presented with a challenge to write down at least 5 daily accomplishments associated with their new business (no matter how small), along with 5 ways in which succeed with their new business would positively impact their life. The point of the exercise was in part to build tangible proof of growth, but also to begin constructing a powerful “why” behind their efforts to build a sustainable business. The results were amazing and certainly empowering for the participants!

    1. Hi Marty Thanks for sharing your experience and observations, yes I too have experienced that clients wit love self-worth take time to make the shift into gratitude and abundance, and as you say the results can be amazing

  6. Love this! I have kept a running gratitude journal for the past 2 years and it’s now getting close to filling a second spiral-bound notebook. It’s a wonderful habit. Thanks for sharing.
