Does Your Mind Chatter Disempower You?

One morning when I woke up I was drawn to my studio to paint. I had seen an image when I was visioning my day, it was like spinning wheels. The mind chatter was going, not a great way to start one’s day.

Do you ever feel like you are spinning your wheels and your mind chatter takes over?

Your mind chatter stops you……..sleeping, moving forward, living with joy, loving yourself…………….

I often have this experience. I think it goes with being creative.

The painting below is what emerged the other morning in the studio.

I started to paint a spiral with my watercolors with the orange and kept adding more colors and more spirals. I saw it as a spinning wheel, which was where my mind was at.

Then I shared it on Facebook and got some interesting comments.

My mastermind friend Dianne said: Its like I staring through a door way-as if when I let go of the fear, I walk through to something wonderful and Michelle: I see a vortex. Mind Chatter and Spinning Wheels

I then shared the image on The Women of Facebook group and asked: How does it make you feel? A variety of observations were made from lollipops to tunnels of happiness. Paintng comments 25414   I then took a closer look at the painting and I saw a tunnel of joy, quite different to the spinning wheel and negative mind chatter I woke with that morning. It brought a total shift in how I felt

What do you see in the picture? How does it make you feel?

  1. Loved this post! It was fun, playful, and engaging and gave me pause to think because my mind chatter is always in high gear saying, “Hurry up!”…miles to go before I sleep 🙂

What a fantastic painting – I saw the lollipop because I’m always first about fun.

Then I immediately smiled at the beautiful colors you are enjoying with activities.

    Thank you for sharing.

  2. Hi Suzie, i actually love it, even if you painted it during mind chatter overwhelm, it seems really inviting to me.. like a vortex into chakra colours, warm, welcoming, nourishing.

We all have those feelings, though the emphasis is on being spiritual so much, we must remember we’re here to experience being human.. to have a mind and with that comes all this stuff we often feel, we shouldn’t feel 🙂

    much love <3

    1. Hi Caroline,
great observation about being human, yes getting the balance is so often the challenge. Like that you find it inviting
      love and peace

  3. How fabulous – the image, the response, and the shift it helped you to feel! Hooray! And, yes, tunnel of joy is about the best description I can think of. It’s lively, playful, bright, welcoming and filled with delicious promise. So awesome!

    Big hugs and butterflies,

  4. Love the colors and concept Suzie but the design kind of makes me nauseous … I think that’s because it’s busy and “noisy” I lean toward quiet simplicity and mindfulness. Think Zen 🙂

  5. Suzie, I love your energy..it’s contagious! Thanks for the beautiful visual and the great tips on mind chatter. D

  6. Suzie, I have had a lot of chatter for the past week. I was feeling anxious and as such my mind kept running around in circles trying to figure out why I was feeling this way.

Usually this experience is very paralyzing. The only consolation I get is that it will come to an end.

Does it affect my creativity? It does. But mostly it makes it even harder to do routine things that I don’t like to do.

I like the painting by the way. Who is to say that nothing good can come out of life’s weird scenarios? 🙂 You take care.

  7. It made me think of those lolipops I saw as a child. I don’t know if they’re still around, but I loved the color and the swirl pattern.
For thoughts though . . whew!! I can relate to that type of distraction and mind chatter.
How wonderful for you to take it and then make lovely art with it!!

    1. Anette, I know. I think of them as round rainbows. My nieces still eat them. 🙂
