When I had a big studio I frequently had studio shows and sales. I no longer have that big studio and I have decided to create my studio online.
First I would like to thank the following people who have helped me along the way to get to launching this site today.
It has been an exciting few weeks as I have built this site, done some reflection as to how I got to where I am now. The photo collection of 15 years of running my business Suzie Cheel Handpainted Originals is wonderful and if you hang around here, subscribe to make sure you don’t miss out on what’s new and tips from the past, you will learn and be inspired. I wrote for Textile magazine for 10 years- a series on making a living in the Textile Arts. These articles will appear here occasionally and in a monthly e-zine where I will share more of them. Subscribe now and get the first article that kicked this series off.
Now for the very exciting news. This week only from Today until Tuesday 27th May 2008 midnight PST ( Wednesday in Australia)
For one week only.
This is a great opportunity to get one of my handpainted scarves - which I am not
making any more - or one of my art quilts.
The prices are very competitive.
For the duration of the sale only, scarves are discounted by 20-30% off the reqular
price (freight is included) for this week only and for the quilts all freight and insurance costs are
included in the price (which can represent a saving of from $60 to $300, depending
on the size of the quilt).
The sale lasts for one week only, through Tuesday, May 27th, midnight US Pacific
Time. That is Wednesday 5 pm in Australia.
After then. there will be new scarves, new art work , a weekly new work and I won’t beat myself up if I don’t do this every week
Enjoy you visit and look out for daily update over the next few days.

How wonderful to see beauty in thought and action combined so perfectly. The scarves and quilts are true works of art and I’ll make sure that all my contacts know about what you’re doing here.
Just a teensy correction: Darren’s last name is spelled “Rowse”, not “Rouse”.
Aside from that, congrats on getting things rolling, and your scarves are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
